The Problem

Breadboard prototyping is a lot of fun — until you need to wire up a handful of ICs and suddenly you're juggling five browser tabs, three PDF datasheets, and a sticky-note covered desk. Finding the pinout for a 74HC595, then an LM741, then a CD4017 means hunting down separate documents, zooming in on tiny diagrams, and constantly losing your place.

That friction slows down the fun part — the actual building. IC Pinouts was created to eliminate that friction.

The Solution

IC Pinouts is a fast, no-fuss reference for hobbyists wiring up chips on a breadboard. Every IC in the database is presented as a clean, interactive pinout diagram — colour-coded by pin function (power, ground, input, output, I/O) — so you can identify what goes where at a glance.

Use the search bar to jump straight to the chip you need, swipe or click the arrows to browse nearby chips, hover a pin to see its label and type, and expand the pin reference table for a full list. Rotate the diagram if that matches the orientation on your board. Toggle between dark and light mode to suit your workspace lighting.

What's Included

The library covers a wide range of through-hole DIP packages commonly found in hobbyist bins and starter kits:

  • 74-series logic gates, flip-flops, counters & shift registers
  • CD4000-series CMOS logic
  • Classic op-amps, comparators & linear ICs
  • Popular microcontrollers in DIP form factor
  • Voltage regulators & power management
  • Driver & support chips
